Good news this week - despite the two rain days, Mabry has THREE air
conditioners up and running! 935 was first on Thursday, followed by 235
yesterday and 835 late this morning. Monday, West Coast will have some lift
equipment in for lifting the remaining units to the upper roofs. Again, all
line sets and electrical has been run on the north side and the A/C and
electricians have moved to the south side. Meanwhile, the installers will be
changing out equipment with owners who have requested or signed up for a
change out and installing the existing condensers. Everything has been
plotted out so that each riser has its own rack or two half racks on the
same side of the goose neck and there is plenty of room on the racks for
more efficient equipment which is larger than the old equipment.
Hopefully, this coming week the chimney box will be stuccoed. The panel
installers are putting up wall and trim flashing and getting a number of
items buttoned up. They are waiting for some additional coil to come in for
some additional panels (should be in by the 20th of the month).
I inspected and quantified the 32 and 33 risers on Thursday and are
pleased with the results. The damage found was very hit and miss. Only two
bedroom sliders were removed in the 32 riser, 432 and 632. Following the
removal of carpet glue, additional spalling was encountered on the 37 riser,
specifically at 337, 437, 537, 837 and 1037. Mabry was repairing the conduit
on the ceiling of 437 when I left property late Thursday, so we didn't take
any quantities of the ceiling as the new plastic conduit may increase the
opening in the slab. These are the only photos worth showing at this time.
We had a meeting with the tile foreman and they will begin installing the
bull nose on Monday. The tile color issue is being discussed between Greg
Goggins and Dal Tile.
The walkways were washed for a third time this week to continue removal
of the dirt and construction debris from the rails and lower roofs.
It looks as if West Coast will be completed at the end of the month (they
have accumulated 10 rain days during this project with most of those coming
at the beginning or during Dennis and Rita). RLJ is still on their schedule,
however the additional damage at the 37 riser pushed that riser back
approximately 1 week.
I'll have photos next week.
