Hurricane Charley Roof Construction Project
June 15, 2005 Update
There wasn't much to report yesterday except
Mabry and the crane operator were not on site. The mast climber people were
still setting up additional climbers - there are four on the North side.
All of the condensing units are down, cataloged and under the building in
there own pods. West Coast is working on the waterside of Penthouse 1 as far
as the climber will reach.
RLJ is down to the fifth floor on tile removal and will have both their
large dumpsters replaced on Friday. They will be water grinding the 12th
floor and washing the slurry debris down as they go to get rid of the dust.
We met this morning with Traco to discuss window types and may go to a
out-swing casement for ease of cleaning - they do cost more, however they do
provide a better seal along the window frame against water infiltration.
John Dahin was meeting with the Traco rep this afternoon to discuss further.
We have 45 units that have signed up for the tile and we selected the grout
for each color and passed them on to Creative Tile. Greg Goggins told me
this morning that he has or is in process of revising his labor cost and
material cost down due to the number of units to be completed in the
project.
This week everything is under control and next week I start inspecting
lanais for spalling.
