Hurricane Charley Roof Construction Project

June 13, 2005 Update

Not too much going on today. West Coast drying in remainder of low roof facing river/bay at North Penthouse. A third mast climber was set up at the 34 riser with base and components on site for the climber at the 37 riser.

Neither Mabry or the crane operator were on property.

RLJ was finishing the 9th floor walkway tile removal this afternoon and we found our first concrete surface/edge spall located adjacent to the column in front of the 31 stair tower. This is the area that has always been hollow and I'm willing to bet it is hook bar or "candy cane" that is too close to the surface. This has been the only spall we've seen so far on the walks.
